EKG and Exercise/Treadmill EKG

An EKG or ECG is also known as an electrocardiography test. This procedure takes about 30 - 60 seconds and is used to to diagnose heart rhythm or heart structure problems, or a heart attack. This non-invasive test is performed by attaching 12 - 15 electrodes to the skin on your arms, legs, chest and/or back.

The Treadmill EKG helps assess exercise capacity by monitoring blood pressure while on the treadmill. Before starting a vigorous exercise routine, it is recommended to take this test.
