Dr. Vellanikaran graduated from St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India, after earning his
undergraduate degree at Maharaja’s College in Cochin, India. He completed his internship and
residency in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and then did a cardiology
fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease,
Dr. Vellanikaran is also Board Certified in echocardiography. He is a member of the
American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the American Society of Echocardiography. In his free time, Dr. Vellanikaran enjoys reading and tennis.
